Check-in from 4pm, out by 11am. Door codes go out at noon on the day of arrival. There is no front desk — you drive in, park at the shed, and let yourself in.

If your question is not here, the landline is a genuinely good way to get an answer — it rings on a wall in the office and one of us picks it up.
Two nights year round. Three over holiday weekends and across the week between Christmas and New Year. We close 2–16 January every year to re-oil the decks and rebuild whatever the winter took.

Inside 14 days we refund whatever we manage to rebook, and we usually manage it — nine cabins on a waiting list is a small problem. Inside 48 hours, no refund.
We make no exception for weather. The fog is the product.
Yes. Every one of the nine has its own wood-fired cedar sauna and its own cold plunge. Nothing is shared, nothing is booked, and there is no time slot to miss.
Four of the nine take dogs: Alder, Wren, Chanterelle and The Hollow. $45 per stay, one dog, and off the beds — the linen is Belgian and it is a nightmare to replace.
There are two miles of trail they will enjoy more than you do.
There is wifi in all nine and it is fast enough to work on, which some guests do and we have stopped judging.
Cell coverage is patchy. Verizon holds on the ridge cabins; AT&T mostly does not. There is a landline on the wall of every cabin that reaches Maren or Tobias at any hour.
There are two kitchens involved: yours, and the one in Manzanita eighteen minutes down the road. Every cabin has a full kitchen with an induction hob, an oven and knives that are actually sharp.
We stock coffee, salt, olive oil and a dozen eggs from the farm on Foss Road. The market in Nehalem is nine minutes away and closes at eight.
Quarry and Longhouse have step-free entry, 36-inch doorways, roll-in showers and level parking within forty feet of the door. Quarry has a transfer bench at the sauna.
The other seven have between two and eleven steps. Call us and we will tell you exactly how many, and where the handrail is.
An hour and fifty from inner-southeast Portland: Highway 26 to 53, then Nehalem Ridge Road. Two hours and five from PDX.
The last 1.4 miles is gravel. It is well graded and fine for a sedan in every month except perhaps February, and we plow it.
